Meeting between the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran
On August 18, Lieutenant General Pulat Bobojonov and the Minister of the Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr Ahmad Wahidi, held a separate bilateral meeting within the framework of the Meeting of the Ministers of Internal Affairs and Public Security of the SCO Member States in Tashkent.
During the talks, the sides discussed the prospects for developing bilateral interdepartmental cooperation to counter crime, terrorism, extremism, and other areas.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
